Longus colli exercise

The longus colli prevents hyperextension of the cervical spine. It attaches between the anterior tubercle of the atlas vertebrae and down to the T3. It is of massive importance if the patient is hinging on the lower and middle cervical levels, and should thus be considered to be included in any rehab regimen in addition to the postural correctives that are prescribed. I have yet to see a single patient with migraines who did not hinge at the neck, so this muscle is also important to consider when treating migraines, in my experience.
