Affinity Designer is one of my new favorite apps. It's not super new. I like Affinity Designer a lot more than Adobe Illustrator. It's simpler to use and has a lot of robust features and no subscription fees! (even though Adobe's subscription fee is a great deal) Designing a logo from someone else's older graphic logo is easier for me. This software is Awesome and worth learning and possibly switching to using. When you watch this Logo Quick Start video it will give you a number of the right shortcuts and tricks for you to create a logo yourselves.
