INGREDIENTS 2 eggs 170g of sugar 1/2 tsp of baking powder 280g of all-purpose flour 10ml of Marsala wine 100g of whole almonds The grated zest of one orange 30g of soft butter A pinch of salt 1 egg yolk for brushing METHOD 1. Mix the flour, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl. 2. In another large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until well combined. 3. Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until you get a homogeneous dough. 4. Add the butter and continue kneading until it is fully incorporated into the dough. 5. Finally, add the almonds, Marsala wine, and orange zest. 6. Transfer the dough to your work surface and continue kneading with a bit of flour, forming two logs. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. 7. Brush the logs with the beaten egg yolk. 8. Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes. 9. Once they are warm, cut the logs into cookies using a bread knife. 10. Lay the cookies flat on the baking sheet and continue baking at 180°C for about 15 minutes or until they are golden brown.
